Gothic Romance Fiction – Who Reads It?

Gothic romance fiction is something I used to love. I’m talking about probably back in the 70’s and 80’s and 90’s. I have to admit that I’m a sucker for things like wind whistling around huge dark castles in England, Scotland or Ireland. And remote, mysterious heroes and strong, stubborn heroines as well.
But for some reason I sort of lost track of the gothic romance fiction genre until a few years ago when I started to look up all of my old favorites. I actually had a hard time coming up with any new authors in the genre, and my old favorites seemed to be dying on the vine. I mean…many of the authors are not even alive any longer. I’m always hoping to find some new authors but I struggle a bit to find any that are like those I remember so fondly.

Here’s the book – It’s called The Darkling Bride, by Laura Andersen.
If you’re into the gothic romance fiction genre, I can highly recommend this one.
This author does have several other series as well which I’ll check out later. Here’s a list of what she’s written.
Whenever I find an author that I love, I always find myself going back and reading all their books. Do you do that too?
